ACoM (Accredited Commercial Manager) is IREM's entry certification for commercial asset managers. ThinkProp delivers the 30-hour course in the UAE, face to face or live online.

Commercial property in the UAE is run by people the market cannot easily rank, so the role gets judged on occupancy and service charges collected, not on the leasing, budgeting and asset skills that actually protect an owner's return. The ACoM puts a recognised IREM credential on what you already do across offices, retail and mixed use, and shows owners you can be trusted with the asset.

Pass IREM's 100 question ACoM certification exam.

Apply

Submit your application to IREM with the fee, and 12 months of qualifying experience. The months do not have to be consecutive.

IREM approves you. You carry the ACoM and annual IREM membership comes with it.

Frequently asked questions

I have managed commercial property for years. Is an early-career certification worth it?

Yes. Your experience is what makes you eligible, IREM requires qualifying management experience to earn the ACoM, so it sits on top of a career like yours rather than replacing it. What it adds is a globally recognised IREM credential, more credibility with owners, and stronger earning and progression potential.

Does ThinkProp give me the ACoM?

ThinkProp gets you there. We deliver the full coursework and issue your certificate of participation within 2 to 4 working days of completing the sessions. The ACoM itself is awarded by IREM once you pass the ACoM exam and apply with proof of your qualifying experience and the applicable fees, and an advisor can walk you through every step.

Do I need a broker licence first?

No. Commercial property management is not brokerage, so you do not need a RERA or ADREC broker licence to take this course or to hold the ACoM. It is built for managers of offices, retail, shopping centres, industrial, self storage and mixed use property.

What is the difference between ACoM and ARM?

The ACoM is IREM's certification for commercial property managers, and the ARM is its residential counterpart. Both are early-career credentials and both feed the senior CPM designation. If you manage a mixed portfolio, an advisor can help you pick the right order.

What if I manage residential property?

The ACoM is focused on commercial management. For residential property, IREM offers the ARM on the same ladder. If you manage both, talk to an advisor about the right order.

Can I reschedule?

Is the ACoM recognised outside the UAE?

Yes. The ACoM is a globally respected designation awarded by IREM, recognised in the UAE and many other countries for its high professional standards. IREM is a US based institute affiliated with the National Association of Realtors.
